Tour Overview

In 1999, a group of descendants of Gąbin (pronounced “Gombin” in Polish and Yiddish) returned to our ancestral home - as documented by filmmaker, Minna Packer - to recuperate Jewish life, rededicate the Jewish cemetery, and find connections. After nearly two decades, we will return to modern Gąbin to reconnect with our roots, tour the “virtual” historic synagogue, identify Jewish sites, visit neighboring formerly Jewish communities, and support remembrance and understanding by connecting with the Polish community. Also included will be the Jewish sites of Warsaw including the Polin and Ethnographic Museums, Płock with the Museum of Mazovian Jews, Chełmno and more.
